Performing Arts Center
Wawasee High School is currently constructing a new Performing Arts Center (PAC), with completion anticipated by August 2026, aligning with the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Purpose and Vision
The PAC is designed to serve as a state-of-the-art venue for the school’s music, theater, and choir programs. It will provide dedicated spaces for band, orchestra, choir, and theater, enhancing the educational experience for students involved in the performing arts. Additionally, the facility aims to host community events, concerts, and performances, fostering greater community engagement and support for the arts .
Design and Features
Architectural plans for the PAC include a modern exterior with brick siding, ample windows for natural lighting, and a dedicated entrance leading directly to the theater. The interior lobby is envisioned as a welcoming space, with design elements that reflect the school’s commitment to the arts .
Broader Educational Impact
The construction of the PAC is part of a larger initiative to enhance educational facilities at Wawasee High School. Upon completion of the PAC, existing spaces currently used for performing arts will be repurposed into areas for career and technical education (CTE) programs, including nursing and culinary arts. This strategic reallocation of space aims to provide students with expanded opportunities in both the arts and vocational training.
